AURUM · The Great Work

Leaving

Every door in the Sanctum opens both ways.

This page covers AURUM · The Great Work, published by STUDIO KIRILOV EOOD.

The game asks for no name and no password. At first launch it makes an anonymous account for the device, and the nights are kept under it. Both are yours to end at any time.

Ending it inside the game

The door is called THE UNMAKING, and it is two taps from the cover.

  1. Open AURUM and touch the mark at the top left of the main screen.
  2. You are in THE LINK, which shows this device and the Sanctum the world keeps for it.
  3. Choose THE UNMAKING.
  4. Hold the seal for about three seconds. The game has no keyboard anywhere, so a held seal is how it asks whether you meant it.

What follows is a deletion and not a hiding. The record is removed from the server, the device forgets which account it was, and the next launch begins a new one.

If the game has already left your device

The account carries no name, no address and no password, so once the game is gone from the phone, the thing that identified it has gone with it. We will not guess at whose record to end.

Two things still lead back to it. If the twelve-character cipher was written down, install the game again and speak it: the account returns to that phone and the door above works as it always did. If a purchase was made, the store’s own transaction number leads to the account that held it, so send us that number and the rest is ours to do. The address is aurum@kirilov.studio, the subject is “Account deletion”, and the answer comes within one month, usually the same week.

With neither of them there is nothing on your side to present and nothing on ours to match it against. Article 11 of the regulation is written for that case, and it does not ask a studio to guess. Nothing is left standing either way. A device that has not connected for 24 months has its account and save deleted, without anyone having to ask.
