Description
AURUM is a physics merge game of transmutation. Substances fall with true weight into a glass vessel; two of a kind glide together and fuse into the next and rarer form, eleven forms in all, from Moonstone to living gold. Working the vessel heats it, and the one decision that runs through every night is whether to pour the work off and bank it, or ride the heat and risk everything the night has made.
The game is built almost entirely in code: no bought art, no borrowed physics engine. Every surface is drawn by the game’s own renderer, every contact is settled by its own solver, and the music comes from a synthesiser written for it. Merges land on the beat of six original pieces and take the seat of the lead melody while you play.
History
AURUM is the first title of Studio Kirilov, an independent Bulgarian studio founded by Kalin Kirilov. The game began as a question about how far a small workshop with high standards can carry a single idea: that base matter, patience and physics can be made to feel like alchemy.
Features
- A real physics simulation written for this one vessel: a hundred steps a second, mass that follows size, nothing that snaps.
- Eleven forms of matter, each with its own light; only the first five ever fall, the rest are made.
- The tria prima: Quicksilver raises what it touches, Sulphur leaps it two forms, Salt dissolves it back to essence.
- The heat and the brim: one honest risk decision running through every night.
- Four ways to play: sixteen designed stages, Endless opened by The Draw, a Daily seeded from the date itself, and Zen.
- Music that plays with you: eleven notes of one pentatonic scale, quantised to the grid of six original pieces.
- A campaign drawn as a sky: sixteen stars in the four constellations of the Magnum Opus.
- No advertising, ever, and nothing sold that decides a night: beauty, never power.
Videos & images
The trailer and a full screenshot set arrive with the release build and will live at this address. Available today: the key art share card, og-aurum-en.png (1200×630, about 81 KB).
Logo & name
The name is set AURUM, capitals, in Cormorant Garamond. Please do not redraw, recolour or outline the wordmark; on dark grounds use the gold treatment shown across this site. The logo files arrive with the release build and will be linked from this page, so nothing has to be traced from a screenshot.
Monetization permission
Studio Kirilov grants permission to monetise videos of AURUM gameplay (Let’s Plays, reviews, streams) on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. This permission covers the game’s own content and music as they appear in play.
